Sangareddy: Sangareddy Rural police seized a huge haul of 600 kgs of ganja which was being transported from Thuni in Andhra Pradesh to Maharastra. The value of ganja is estimated at Rs 40 lakh. During the regular checks up conducted on Monday at Kandi Junction on NH-65, the Sangareddy Rural police and CCS police caught the lorry and apprehended two persons.
The accused were identified as Anil Govind Kalimukle and Ganesh Nanda Kishore Potadhar, natives of Lathur in Maharastra. During the interrogation, the arrested persons revealed that they were transporting the contraband at the behest of one Anil Reddy, a resident of Enakpally in Nagulgidda Mandal of Sangareddy district. They told the police that they were just offered Rs 50,000 for transporting the ganja. The hunt is on to nab Anil Reddy, who is a seasoned ganja smuggler.
