Sangareddy court sentences two men to 20 years for transporting 850 kg ganja
Two men from Sangareddy, Jadav Bansilal and Rathod Shankar, were convicted for transporting 850 kg of ganja in 2021. A local court sentenced them to 20 years’ imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 2 lakh each.

Hyderabad: A local court in Sangareddy convicted two persons who were arrested in 2021 for transporting 850 kg of ganja and sentenced them to 20 years jail term.
The convicted persons are Jadav Bansilal alias Rathod Bansilal (44) and Rathod Shankar (45), both residents of Sangareddy district.
According to the Prohibition and Excise Department officials, in 2021, an enforcement team of the department caught and arrested Jadav and Shankar while they were transporting the ganja in a vehicle.
After their arrest, they were remanded and a charge sheet was filed in the case. On Thursday, the court convicted and sentenced them to 20 years’ jail and also imposed a fine of Rs 2 lakh on each.
