Sangareddy: Superintendent of Area Hospital in Narayankhed was thrashed by relatives of a trainee ANM for allegedly seeking sexual favours from her. He reportedly slapped the ANM, who is three months pregnant, when he did not get the desired response.
The ANM was proceeding to the bus stop on Wednesday after completing her duty when the hospital Superintendent Dr Narsing Chouhan intercepted her. He reportedly questioned her why she was leaving early. When she told him that there was no bus service to her village after 2.30 pm, Dr Narsing sought sexual favours, she alleged.
When she tried to leave the Superintendent’s room, he slapped her despite her pointing out that she was pregnant.
The ANM informed her husband and relatives about the incident after reaching home. A large number of relatives went to the hospital and pulled Dr Narsing out of the facility on Thursday and thrashed him.
Later, Dr Narsing was taken to Narayankhed Police Station where a case was registered against him. Meanwhile, Dr Narsing also filed a case against the family members of the ANM.
