Sangareddy: Sangareddy police cracked the missing infant case within 30 hours after the infant was stolen from MCH Sangareddy. The police handed over the infant girl to her parents.

The prime accused Ruksana Begum of Barkas in Hyderabad, with the help of her sisters Muskan, Javeria Fathima and her mother Sayida Begum took away the infant, daughter of Naseema and Abbas Ali, on Wednesday afternoon. Tracking the CCTV footage, the police identified the accused persons and traced that the baby was kept in Borabanda at Ruksana’s relatives home.

According to Sangareddy police, Ruksana Begum was married to one Dasthagiri some 16 years ago and the couple had two sons. However, Rukasana married another man Sameer of Barkas, after the demise of Dastagiri. Rukasana had decided to adopt a baby to claim the rights of the Sameer’s property. Since they could not find any baby for adoption, Ruksana decided to steal the infant from the MCH with the support of her kin.

Superintendent of Police, Chennuri Rupesh constituted 12 teams to track the stolen baby with the help of IT Cell. The SP appreciated the police teams for their efforts in cracking the case within 30 hours.
