Sangareddy: The Kautilya School of Public Policy (KSPP) of GITAM University, Hyderabad hosted a one-day colloquy on ‘Inclusive Policies for India’ on Saturday.
Organised in collaboration with ATHER as the official event partner, the colloquy provided a platform for intellectual discourse on crucial national issues and inclusive policy-making. The event opened with a paper presentation and featured an engaging panel discussion covering diverse and relevant topics such as women in public policy, the future of finance, digital governance, climate change, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria. The initiative sought to tackle some of India’s pressing challenges and foster a dialogue on opportunities for inclusive growth.
Syed Akbaruddin, Dean of KSPP, highlighted the significance of inclusivity in India’s policies, stating, “Inclusivity is both an enduring civilizational value and a constitutional imperative for India. Examining the impact of the churn we witness in our everyday lives on such abiding principles is an excellent academic initiative with public policy implications.” He also commended the students for maintaining the tradition of the annual Kautilya Colloquy. Special Chief Secretary IT and Industries Jayesh Ranjan, Associate Director of WE Hub Shanthala Veigas, and others were present.
