Sangareddy police destroy over 1.4 tonnes of ganja and alprazolam
Sangareddy police destroyed 1,485.75 kg of dry ganja and 5 kg of alprazolam seized in various cases across the district. The contraband was incinerated at Pashamylaram under the supervision of the district drug disposal committee and senior police officials.

Sangareddy: Sangareddy police destroyed a huge amount of ganja and alprazolam seized in various raids across the district on Tuesday. The police burned down 1485.75 kgs of dry ganja and 5 kgs of alprazolam in an industrial incinerator in Pashamylaram industrial area. The ganja was disposed of under the observation of the district drug disposal committee, Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj and other police officers.
In a statement, the SP said that they burned down the ganja and alprazolam, seized under all the police stations across the district, following the process. He further said the drug peddlers engaged in the illegal business to earn additional income. The SP said that they constituted a special task force team to carry regular check ups and restrict the ganja sales.
