Sangareddy: The worst condition of the National Highway – 65, which connects Hyderabad to Mumbai is posing many problems for the road users in Sangareddy district. The Highway which stretches for over 80 km in the district now has innumerable potholes.
The road enters the district at Lingampally and passes through Patancheru, Sangareddy, Sadasivapet and Zaheerabad towns apart from touching many villages en route. According to NHAI officials at least one lakh vehicles traverse on this road every day. Due to recent rains, the road has been completely damaged which led to many accidents.
Particularly, the two-wheeler riders using the road during the night, could not even notice the potholes. When the district witnesses rain, the vehicle drivers cannot see the potholes which would be filled with rainwater. Speaking to Telangana Today, a two-wheeler rider, J Sanganna said that they were finding it difficult to ride on the road during the night since there were potholes everywhere. He urged the highway authorities to fill the potholes with immediate effect for the safety of road users like him.
