Sangareddy: Members of a Self Help Group (SHG) attacked each other over a dispute related to the repayment of bank loans in Jogipet town on Saturday.
According to information, a section of women in the group had not repaid loans taken collectively, triggering an argument with other members. The dispute escalated when some members assaulted them. Six women were attacked with sticks during the clash. The attackers also assaulted the mother of one SHG member and the child of another woman. Since the default by some members pushed the entire group into the defaulters list, the irate women resorted to the attack fearing that they would not receive further loans from banks.
