Santosh Nagar traffic police crack down on mobile use while driving

Santosh Nagar Traffic Police conducted a special drive at DMRL Junction against mobile phone use while driving. Eight motorists were booked and 12 others penalised. Police also counselled violators and warned about the dangers of distracted driving.

Hyderabad: In a bid to curb distracted driving, the Santosh Nagar Traffic Police conducted a special enforcement drive against mobile phone usage while driving at DMRL Junction on Tuesday.

During the drive, police booked eight motorists for using mobile phones while driving and registered cases against 12 others for various traffic violations.


Officials also conducted spot counseling, warning violators about the dangers of distracted driving and the risk of fatal accidents. Commuters were advised to stop their vehicles safely before attending phone calls.

Police stated that violators would face legal action.
