SATG holds anti-doping awareness programme with NADA in Hyderabad
The Sports Authority of Telangana and the National Anti-Doping Agency organised an awareness programme at Gachibowli Sports Complex. The session briefed sports personnel on anti-doping rules, prohibited substances, athletes’ responsibilities and the importance of integrity ahead of major sporting events

Hyderabad: The Sports Authority of Telangana (SATG), in collaboration with the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA), organised an awareness programme on anti-doping rules at the Gachibowli Sports Complex on Friday.
The programme was paart of SATG’s efforts to prepare sports personnel for upcoming major sporting events, including the Khelo India Youth Games 2026 and the National Inter-District Junior Athletics Meet (NIDJAM).
Dr Neha Singh, Lead Doping Control Officer and Anti-Doping Educator at NADA, explained anti-doping rules, the importance of avoiding prohibited substances, athletes’ responsibilities and the consequences of doping violations. She also highlighted the importance of fair play, transparency and integrity in sports.
The programme was attended by SATG officials Ravinder and Shirisha; stadium administrators Rajveer, Ravikumar and Swarnalatha; and coaches, physical directors, physical education teachers (PETs), physiotherapists and other sports personnel.
SATG Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Dr A Sonibala Devi said the authority was committed to strengthening the knowledge and skills of sports personnel and promoting clean and fair sports across Telangana.
She said such awareness programmes would help coaches, technical officials, sports association representatives and physical education trainers contribute to building a strong and ethical sporting culture in the State.
Through these initiatives, SATG aims to ensure that upcoming sporting events are conducted professionally and transparently, in accordance with established sports regulations.
