Saudi bus accident: Telangana State Cabinet announces ex gratia of Rs 5 lakh

The Telangana Cabinet has approved Rs 5 lakh ex gratia for families of those who died in the Saudi Arabia bus accident. A team led by Minister Mohammed Azharuddin will visit Saudi to oversee coordination, with families to attend funerals locally.

Hyderabad: The State cabinet, which met here on Monday, has decided to offer an ex gratia of Rs.5 lakh to the kin of each person who died in the bus accident in Saudi Arabia.

This apart, a team led by Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin, comprising MIM MLAs and senior officials, will visit Saudi Arabia to coordinate with local officials and expedite relief measures.

The funeral of the victims would be performed in Saudi Arabia as per their customs. Two persons from each family would be taken to attend the funeral. Officials have been directed to make arrangements accordingly.
