Peddapalli: SCCL Chairman and Managing Director Dr Buddhaprakash Jyoti emphasised that the company accords equal importance to employee welfare and safety alongside production growth.

Singareni’s rich experience, discipline, and collective work culture have made it a unique organisation, he said, while interacting with employees, officers and workers at GDK-11 Incline coal mine in Ramagundam-I area of SCCL on Friday.

The CMD undertook an extensive tour of the RG-1 area and reviewed mine production, employee welfare, safety measures, and various facilities provided by the company. During the interactive session, he discussed the present status of the company, measures for enhancing coal production, productivity, quality improvement, and future plans.

On the occasion, the CMD inaugurated the 5th man riding system (MRS) established in the mine. He said that the system would enable employees to travel safely, quickly, and comfortably between the mine surface and underground workplaces, significantly reducing physical strain on workers.

Later, the CMD visited GDK-5 opencast mine and reviewed coal and overburden production, transportation, machinery utilisation, and productivity.

He also conducted a video conference with general managers of all areas from RG-1 area General Manager’s Office. During the meeting, he reviewed coal production, productivity, safety standards, quality, cost control measures, and future targets, and issued necessary directions.

He instructed all areas to work in coordination to achieve production targets assigned to them and contribute to the overall growth of the company. He also visited Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Godavarikhani.
