SCCL trains youth for army recruitment rally in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: A pre-army recruitment rally was organised under the aegis of Singareni Seva Samithi and SCCL corporate office here on Wednesday.
The rally was inaugurated by Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Kothagudem area General Manager (GM) Ch Narasimha Rao and GM (Personnel) K Basavaiah at Prakasam stadium at Kothagudem.
The pre-army recruitment rally was aimed to train the youth in coal belt areas, especially the children of SCCL employees and ex-employees and those evacuated due to the SCCL projects to attend the army recruitment rally to be held from March 5 to 24 in Hyderabad, they said.
Narasimha Rao advised the youth who took part in the rally to train hard to get jobs in the army. The number of personnel serving in the army from Telangana was less. Serving in the army gives a great opportunity to serve the nation, he added.
DGM (Personnel) Samuel Sudhakar informed that around 262 youngsters have taken part in the rally and of them a total of 108 youths have passed fitness and medical tests conducted at and CER Club. A total of 50 candidates would be selected based on educational qualification.
Those selected would be given 45 days free training at Rudrampur under the supervision of retired army personnel, Basavaiah informed. Singareni Seva Samithi coordinators Sharifuddin and Sanga Rao, TBGSK leaders Somi Reddy, Razak and others were present.
