Junior Research Fellowship at NIT Meghalaya
National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya invites applications for NIT Meghalaya Department of Mechanical Engineering Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) 2021 from master’s degree holders. The fellowship is meant for the project titled, “Development of a Novel Solar-driven Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS) for Space Heating and Liquid Desiccant Dehumidification with Direct/Indirect Contact Heat/Mass Exchangers for Meghalaya Region”.
Eligibility: Open for candidates below 28 years of age who hold an M Tech/ME (or B Tech) degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialisation in Fluid/Thermal Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks, or have obtained an equivalent in Master’s degree (or 75% marks or an equivalent in Bachelor’s degree). Added to this, they should be GATE qualified.
Prizes & Rewards: Up to Rs 35,000 per month

The fellowship requires the candidate to work on the project titled, “Development of Porous Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) for Catalytic Conversion of Carbon Dioxide to Fine Chemicals”.
Eligibility: Open for candidates who hold a Master’s or equivalent degree in Chemistry/Materials Science and have also obtained first-class (6.5 grades point out of 10) or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) along with qualified UGC/CSIR-NET or GATE.
