School kids donates Rs 35,000 for flood relief in Khammam

School kids donates Rs 35,000 for flood relief in Khammam
Students of a private school donated money for flood relief in Khammam.

Khammam: District Collector Muzammil Khan lauded the humanitarian gesture by students of a private school towards flood affected families in the district.

Students of Samatha Super Gems School at Konijera near Khammam contributed an amount of Rs 35,000 for flood relief. A cash cheque for the amount was handed over by the kids, teachers and headmaster to district Collector Muzammil Khan here on Wednesday.


The Collector said the assistance provided to the flood affected families in the form of money and goods increases their confidence that the society was helping them in times of disaster. It was a good thing that the school students thought about helping the families.

Khan appreciated the headmaster and teachers for creating awareness about society from childhood and encouraging children to participate in social activities. School headmaster Kontham Umashankar, teachers K Sravanti and N Sai were present.
