Diwali, the festival of lights was celebrated at Pallavi International school, Gandipet with festive fervour. The day was marked by a special assembly in the school seminar hall where students of all the classes participated. The school has adopted hybrid methods both for learning or during special assemblies, where the students who came to students were seated in the seminar hall, while the students who opted for online schooling joined through the WebEx link. Decorated with vibrant hues, the seminar had an ambiance of joy and happiness.

The special assembly was hosted by Aayushi Dipankar and Zainab Hussain of class IX. The celebrations started with the National Song followed by the school song and a welcome dance. Principal Meetali Archit addressed the gathering and wished everyone on the occasion. She then briefed the students on the essence of Diwali.


School organised several competitions to fill the students with the spirit of the festival. From making diyas, performing dance where students of all classes participated with enthusiasm. All winners were awarded certificates during the special assembly.

The students showcased the spirit of Diwali through scintillating dance performances, story behind celebrating Diwali and Diwali-themed songs which added much exuberance and brought great joy to the audience. Dance by class IX girls on Bollywood mashup was a foot-tapping performance. The hosts conducted a fun quiz on Diwali for students. The assembly concluded with a note of thanks followed by the National Anthem.
