SCR GM reviews redevelopment works at railway station

South Central Railway General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava inspected the ongoing redevelopment works at Secunderabad Railway Station, reviewing upgrades across platforms, foot overbridges, escalators, waiting halls, and parking facilities.

Secunderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Saturday, conducted a detailed inspection of the ongoing redevelopment works at Secunderabad Railway Station.

He reviewed the progress of infrastructure upgrades on both the Platform No.1 and Platform No. 10 sides and inspected works related to foot overbridges, escalators, platforms, waiting halls, booking offices, parking facilities, and circulating areas.

Officials briefed him on the current status and future plans of the redevelopment project. Srivastava instructed the teams to expedite the works to ensure timely completion and improved passenger amenities.

He also stressed the need to minimize inconvenience to passengers during major infrastructural changes by strengthening crowd management, safety, security, and passenger assistance measures.

SCR officials stated that comprehensive steps are being taken to ensure smooth passenger movement during the execution of the project.
