Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) has launched AI-powered passenger information kiosks ‘Bholu Mini’ and ‘Bholu Max’ at Malkajgiri and Kacheguda railway stations on a pilot basis.

The systems were unveiled by senior railway officials at Rail Nilayam in Secunderabad on Friday.

SCR officials said, developed in-house, ‘Bholu Mini’ is a Telugu voice enabled assistant offering real-time train and platform information, while ‘Bholu Max’ is an advanced multilingual kiosk supporting 12 Indian languages with both voice and touchscreen features.

The AI systems aim to provide faster, accessible information, reduce crowding at enquiry counters and improve passenger experience, officials said.

Based on user feedback, the kiosks may be expanded to other major stations across the zone.
