Hyderabad: The Lashkar Zilla Sadhana Samithi members will hold a one-day protest on December 19 at Indira Park demanding a separate municipal corporation for Secunderabad.
In a statement on Wednesday, the samithi president Gurram Pavan Kumar Goud said adding suburban areas to the existing 150 municipal divisions to create 300 divisions has raised concern among Secunderabad residents.
In view of the demand to divide Hyderabad district, the largest in the state with 15 constituencies, into two districts, Pavan Kumar criticised the further expansion of GHMC as unfortunate.
He said they have written to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and would submit a representation demanding that Secunderabad be made a separate municipal corporation.
