IPS officer Y Nagireddy assumes charge as VC&MD of TGSRTC.
Hyderabad: Senior IPS officer Y Nagireddy, has assumed charge as the new Vice Chairman and Managing Director (VC&MD) of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) on Monday.
In a formal function at Bus Bhavan on Monday, Nagireddy took charge in the MD’s chamber, officially receiving responsibilities from outgoing VC&MD VC Sajjanar, IPS.
Sajjanar, who served TGSRTC for over four years, was widely credited for introducing reforms in services, strengthening passenger amenities, and driving initiatives to improve the financial stability of the corporation. His tenure also saw measures to enhance safety, digital ticketing, and modernisation of the bus fleet.
With the baton now passed, Nagireddy is expected to focus on further strengthening the corporation, expanding connectivity, and improving the quality of services for lakhs of daily commuters across Telangana.
