Seven arrested for gambling in Peddapalli

Seven persons were arrested for allegedly gambling at a house in Peddampet village of Anthargaon mandal in Peddapalli on Saturday night. Police seized Rs 14,730 cash, six mobile phones and 52 playing cards from the accused persons

Peddapalli: Seven persons were arrested for gambling in Peddampet village in Anthargaon mandal on Saturday night. Police seized cash of Rs 14,730, six mobile phones and 52 cards from them.

Police said that Dharmaji Laxman, Layishetti Mahesh, Bangari Narayana, Adicharla Shiva Sai, Merugu Venkataswamy, Macharla Akash and Asarla Mallesh were apprehended when sleuths of a task force conducted a raid on a house, following a tip-off. The accused persons were handed over to Anthargaon police for further action.
