Kothagudem: Seven people were killed in separate incidents in the district on Friday. In the first incident at Bhadrachalam, two students drowned when they went for a holy bath in the Godavari river. The deceased were identified as P Hariprasad (21) and his relative R Pavan (22).
In the second incident reported at Cherla, two labourers, natives of Chhattisgarh, were crushed to death by a tractor carrying sand load. While one died on the spot, the other died while undergoing treatment.
At Manugur, one M Prasad, a native of Madhya Pradesh, was beaten to death with a boulder by unidentified assailants. He was working as a helper in a private company.
In a road accident near Koragutta on Yellandu-Bethampudi road, a youth, Earla Bharath (19) of Benthampud in Tekulapalli mandal, died after he lost control of the bike he was riding on. In another incident in Burgampad mandal, a biker was killed when an autorickshaw rammed his bike.
