Several injured after car goes out of control on Medak outskirts

A speeding car lost control on the outskirts of Medak town, crashing into a passenger auto and two motorcycles. Several people, including the auto driver and riders, sustained serious injuries, with a few reported to be critical.

Medak: Several persons were injured after a car went out of control on the outskirts of Medak town on Thursday.

The car driver, who appeared to have lost control of the steering due to overspeeding, drove onto the wrong side of the road and rammed into a passenger auto and two motorcycles. The auto driver, passengers and the motorcycle riders sustained serious injuries in the mishap.

There was chaos for a while as several persons were injured in the crash. Local residents caught hold of the driver. When the police attempted to take the reckless driver into custody, the locals demanded that he be handed over to them. However, the police convinced them and shifted the driver to the police station.

The injured were rushed to the Government Hospital in Medak for treatment. The condition of a couple among the injured was stated to be critical. Police registered a case and took up an investigation.
