Hyderabad: Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) Hyderabad Chapter, chairman, Raja Mogili Amirisetty said there were several job opportunities for students who successfully complete the Company Secretaries (CS) course and register as ICSI members.

Addressing an awareness programme on CS course organised by Telangana Today and Namasthe Telangana in association with ICSI at Neelagiri Junior and Degree College in Nalgonda district on Monday, Dr Amirisetty informed students about the CS course, CS executive entrance test, CS executive and CS professional programmes and job opportunities like certification services, valuation, insolvency and representation services etc., available to students after registering as ICSI member.


Every listed, public and private company having a paid-up share capital of Rs 10 crore or more was required to appoint a full-time company secretary and they were also designated as key managerial persons under the companies act, he explained to students.

The ICSI imparts CS course in distance learning mode enabling students to qualify as CS, he said, adding that study material will be provided to all the registered students and they could pursue the course through self-study mode.

ICSI Hyderabad Chapter vice-chairperson, Lalitha Devi said students would be required to undergo one month EDP, 21 months practical training after passing the executive programme exam.

After professional programme students were required to undergo residential corporate leadership development programme in order to get their ICSI membership, she said. She also spoke about fee structure and date of entrance exam. The lectures were followed by an interactive session where speakers cleared the queries of the students.

YRP Foundation, Nalgonda, founder, Yama Dayakar who attended the event promised to sponsor at least five students of Nalgonda for CS course. Neelagiri Junior and Degree College correspondent, Nagender Reddy also took part in the event.
