Several students injured as a private engineering college bus overturns in Kothagudem
Several engineering students were injured when a college bus overturned and fell into a roadside ditch in Mondikunta forest area of Kothagudem while travelling from Manugur to Paloncha. One student suffered a fractured hand; police are investigating the incident today

Kothagudem: Several students of a private engineering college injured as a bus in which they were travelling overturned and fell into a roadside ditch in Kothagudem on Friday.
The bus was going to Paloncha from Manugur carrying the students of KLR Engineering College of Paloncha when the incident happened at Mondikunta forest area in Aswapuram mandal. There were around 50 students in the bus.
It was said that the bus driver lost control of the bus which veered off the road and tumbled into the ditch. A girl student was said to have broken one of her hands as she was stuck between the bus seats while several others suffered minor bleeding injuries.
The passersby helped police to shift the injured to Government Area Hospital at Bhadrachalam for treatment. The student with the broken hand was said to have been shifted to Khammam for better treatment. What caused the accident was clear. The local police are investigating the case.
