Veteran stunt coordinator Sham Kaushal takes to social media to share his "gratitude" and working experience with Ram Charan on the sets of Buchi Babu Sana's actioner Peddi
Mumbai: Veteran action director Sham Kaushal, father of actor Vicky Kaushal, has opened up about his experience collaborating with global star Ram Charan on the highly anticipated film Peddi.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Kaushal described the collaboration as an enriching learning experience. Sharing a behind-the-scenes video from the sets, he captioned it: “Gratitude— it was a learning experience working on PEDDI as Action Director along with such talented & nicest team @alwaysramcharan @buchibabu_sana @rathnaveludop @maibam_nabakanta_meitei (my colleague as Action Director & a dear friend) May God bless our film & the whole team with all the success. Rab Rakha.”
In the video, the veteran action director is seen feeding a piece of cake to Ram Charan, while other frames capture him posing warmly with the film’s cast and crew.
Sham Kaushal is a highly respected action director and stunt coordinator who has carved a significant niche for himself in Indian cinema. Hailing from Punjab, he began his journey as a stunt performer in the 1980s before transitioning into a celebrated stunt technician.
Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, features Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles. The action thriller boasts an stellar ensemble cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. The film features a musical score by Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman and is bankrolled by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner.
Ahead of its release, the film’s promotional campaign made headlines when leading lady Janhvi Kapoor faced a security scare during an event. A video circulating on social media showed an overenthusiastic fan rushing onto the stage toward Ram Charan. In the ensuing chaos, the fan accidentally bumped into Kapoor before security personnel quickly intervened to bring the situation under control.
