Shankara Narayana, the “Brahma of Humour,” enters Wonder Book of Records
Renowned Hasya Avadhani Shankara Narayana was honoured by the Wonder Book of Records for performing 550 Hasya Avadhanams over 27 years. At Tyagaraya Gana Sabha, he was recognised for his contribution to humour, including a 25-hour nonstop public performance

Hyderabad: Renowned humorist and celebrated Hasya Avadhani, Shankara Narayana, has secured a place in the Wonder Book of Records.
At an event held on Wednesday at the Tyagaraya Gana Sabha’s Kala Subbarao Kalavedika, the president of Tyagaraya Gana Sabha, Kala Janardhan Murthy, along with Wonder Book of Records International India Chief Coordinator, Bingi Narender Goud, presented the honour to Shankara Narayana.
Having conducted thousands of humour programmes across India and abroad, Shankara Narayana has performed 550 Hasya Avadhanams over the last 27 years. Notably, at the Tyagaraya Gana Sabha itself, he once held a continuous public Hasya Avadhanam for 25 hours.
In recognition of these achievements, the Wonder Book of Records International awarded him this honour, said Narender Goud and Janardhan Murthy. Wishing him continued success, Janardhan Murthy expressed hope that Shankara Narayana would go on to perform many more Hasya Avadhanams worldwide, earning further awards, records, and acclaim.
