Shashank, Sarayu win singles titles at Telangana Sub-Junior Badminton Championship
Shashank Vanamala and Sarayu Suryaneni clinched singles titles at the Telangana State Sub-Junior Badminton Championship in Warangal, which also saw exciting victories in doubles and mixed doubles events
Hyderabad: Shashank Vanamala of Nalgonda and Sarayu Suryaneni of Hyderabad won the boys and girls singles titles respectively at the Telangana State Sub-Junior Badminton Championship held in Warangal.
In the boys’ final, Shashank defeated J. Yuva Surya of Hyderabad 15-11, 17-15, while Sarayu came from behind to beat Pranjala Nisarga of Ranga Reddy 9-15, 15-12, 15-12 in the girls’ final.
Warangal MLA N. Rajender Reddy, District Joint Collector Sr Sai Harshit, and DCP (West Zone) Ankit Kumar gave away the prizes.
