She Teams nab 127 for harassing women in June

Hyderabad She Teams nabbed 127 persons for allegedly harassing women during June and secured convictions in 14 cases. The Women Safety Wing received 102 complaints, while courts awarded jail terms and fines in several cases. Women were urged to dial 112 for help.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad She Teams have nabbed a total of 127 persons for allegedly harassing women in public places in the month of June and secured convictions in 14 cases.

The Women Safety Wing received 102 complaints during the month, and six persons were caught during special surveillance drives for harassing women in public places.

Further, courts also sentenced six offenders to three days’ simple imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 each. Two transgender persons were also convicted in petty cases and fined Rs 1,050 each.
