Shepherd electrocuted in Karimnagar
A shepherd, Bolli Sammaiah, died of electrocution in Sarwaipeta after accidentally touching an electric fence set up to protect crops. Two sheep also died, and police have registered a case and launched an investigation
Karimnagar: A shepherd Bolli Sammaiah got electrocuted in Sarwaipeta of Saidapur mandal on Wednesday.
According to villagers, as usual, Sammaiah took his flock of sheep to the village outskirts for grazing.
Farmers from Madapur had earlier fixed electric fences around their agricultural fields to protect crop from monkeys.
Without noticing electric fences, Sammaiah tried to cross the fields. He got electric shock and died on the spot. Two sheep also died.
Knowing about the incident, police visited the spot and began investigation by registering the case.
