Telangana players Sahaja Yamalapalli and Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty have been selected for the Billie Jean King Cup Asia/Oceania Group 1 in Delhi from April 7 to 11. Shrivalli excelled in 2025, earning the Billie Jean King Heart Award

Hyderabad: Sahaja Yamalapalli and Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty from Telangana have been selected to represent India in the Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Asia/Oceania Group 1, to be held in Delhi from April 7 to 11.

A preparatory camp will be held one week prior to the event.


It may be mentioned that Shrivalli Rashmikaa played a crucial role for India at the 2025 Billie Jean King Cup, winning all five of her singles matches and leading the team to the World Group Play-offs for only the second time in history.

For her outstanding performance and fighting spirit, she was also honoured with the prestigious Billie Jean King Heart Award.

The team: Sahaja Yamalapalli, Shrivalli Rashmikaa Bhamidipaty, Vaishnavi Adkar, Ankita Raina, Rutuja Bhosale. Reserve: Vaidehee Chaudhari.
