Siblings drown in cooling tank at Karimnagar cement pipe unit

A tragic accident occurred on Sunday at a cement pipe manufacturing unit near Karimnagar, where two young brothers drowned after slipping into a cooling tank while playing. The children, sons of migrant workers from Bihar, were rushed to the hospital but declared dead on arrival.

Karimnagar: Two siblings drowned after falling into a cooling tank at a cement pipe manufacturing unit on Bommakal Road on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Sunday.

Police said Bittu Kumar and Sudha Devi, a migrant couple from Bihar, were employed at the unit and lived on the factory premises with their two sons, Satyam Kumar and Aryan Kumar.

While playing in the premises, the children accidentally slipped into the cooling tank. Factory staff rushed them to the hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead.

On learning of the incident, police visited the spot and registered a case. An investigation is underway.
