Siddipet: Anganwadi teacher Mohammad Umar Razia Sultana resigned from her job and filed her nomination for the Sarpanch post of Indupuriyal village in Doulthabad mandal on Saturday.
Sultana has been involved in several social initiatives after setting up the SR Trust across the district along with her husband Umar over the past five years. She earned recognition for her service during Covid-19 when she reached out to needy families. With a long-standing interest in public service from her early years, she has now decided to enter politics, viewing the panchayat elections as an opportunity to work more closely with the community.
Having extended support to many villagers through her trust, Sultana believes that people may acknowledge her work in the elections. She is also known for maintaining cordial relations with all political parties.
