Siddipet: Siddipet Collector K Hymavathi suspended six teachers of the Multipurpose High School in the town and served a show-cause notice on the headmistress for failing to maintain the Facial Recognition System (FRS) attendance of students.
During a surprise inspection of the school on July 28, the Collector found six teachers absent from duty. She also found that the teachers had failed to ensure even 50 per cent FRS attendance of students. The Collector further found that the teachers had failed to maintain annual diaries.
She later ordered an inquiry into the matter. Based on the inquiry committee’s report, the Collector suspended the six teachers and served a show-cause notice on headmistress Sridevi. She also directed the DEO to initiate departmental action against cluster response persons Kranthi Kumar and Savitha, holding them responsible for the failure to maintain FRS in the school. The Collector warned that stern action would be initiated against any teacher found negligent in discharging their duties.
