Talking to the irrigation officials during a review meeting with them in Siddipet on Friday, Harish Rao directed them to complete all the pending distributary canals under Kaleshwaram project to ensure the smooth supply of irrigation water to Yasangi.
He also asked them to take up the desilting of the existing canals for smooth flow of irrigation water to even tail end fields. Talking over phone with Collector K Hymavathi, the former minister requested her to grant sufficient funds to take up the pending canal works in Siddipet constituency.
Suggesting them to have a perfect plan for supplying irrigation water for the season, Rao recalled how the farmers struggled last Yasangi due to lack of planning from officials.
