Siddipet: Siddipet town, which already boasts of having corporate level facilities in government hospitals, will have two more facilities – CT Scan and 20 bed additional Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Finance Minister T Harish Rao, who inaugurated the High-tech Diagnostic hub in February, had promised CT Scan and some other additional facilities at the government hospital for the benefit of the people. The health department bought CT Scan at a cost of Rs 2.15 crore and created the 20 bed ICU at a cost of Rs 2.40 crore.
Siddipet district has already had 20-bed ICU facility, which has been now been expanded to 40-bed. Since people are forced to spend a lot of money on tests, the Finance Minister has said that the government will also provide all the required infrastructure to test everything for free in the district. “The expansion of ICU will meet the needs of the people in the town,” he added.
