Siddipet: Grama Sabhas continued to attract the ire of the people due to the discrepancies in the list of beneficiaries. A villager climbed onto a cell tower in Lachapet in Dubbak municipality, demanding the inclusion of his name in the list.

When the man Maindla Raju did not find his name on the Indiramma Housing Scheme beneficiaries list released by the officials during the Grama Sabha meeting held on Friday, he climbed the cell tower and threatened to jump off of the tower unless the officials include his name in the list.

He further demanded the assurance from district in charge minister Konda Surehkha. The officials and police tried to convince Raju to get him down by talking over a phone.

He alleged that many other persons’ names were found in the list though they were ineligible.
