Siddipet Police seize spurious seeds worth Rs 34.5 lakh

Siddipet: Police teams led by Gajwel Rural Inspector Koteshwar Rao and seized 92 quintals of spurious seeds worth Rs 34.49 lakhs from a godown at Narsapur village of Mulug mandal in Siddipet district on Friday evening.

The Maize and Millets seeds stored in the godown belonged to Royal Trading Company and GQSD Enterprises. The seeds were packed in 184 bags weighing 50 kg each and were ready to be sold to farmers.


Agriculture Officer Pragathi, Sub-inspector of Police Mulug Ranga Krishna and others participated in the raid.
