Sidharth Malhotra’s Vvaan earns Rs 23.10 crore in two days

New Delhi: Sidharth Malhotra-starrer “Vvaan – Force of the Forrest” has earned Rs 23.10 crore at the domestic box office in its first two days, the makers said.

Directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Mishra, the film is backed by Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms Ltd and The Viral Fever (TVF). It released on Friday and also stars Tamannaah Bhatia.

Malhotra shared the box office figures on Instagram on Sunday along with a poster of the film.

The film opened with Rs 9.60 crore on Friday and collected Rs 13.50 crore on Saturday, taking its two-day domestic gross to Rs 23.10 crore.

“Vvaan – Force of the Forrest” follows Rishi (Malhotra), a rational Mumbai-based engineer, and his wife Mamta (Bhatia) as they travel to his ancestral village in Devanchal, Bihar, around the time of Chhath Puja.

Sunil Grover, Avtar Gill and Anup Soni also feature in the film, which marks the first collaboration between Bhatia and Malhotra.

The film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar and Niraj Kothari.
