Nirmal: Sighting of a leopard on a hillock located between the road leading to Star Function Hall and Bangalpet on the outskirts of the town created a flutter on Tuesday.

Locals said they spotted the leopard standing on a rock on the hillock at the edge of the town. Some claimed to have captured photographs and videos of the animal. They urged Forest officials to act swiftly to drive the animal back into the forest and prevent any harm to humans.

Forest officials confirmed that the leopard’s movements were being tracked. They said efforts were underway to divert it back into the wild. Officials advised the public to avoid the road and refrain from sudden encounters with the leopard. People were also requested not to attempt taking photographs, warning that such actions could provoke the animal and lead to attacks.
