Singareni Power Plant achieves 98.57 per cent plant load factor
Singareni Thermal Power Plant in Mancherial placed seventh among country's 25 top-performing thermal power stations
Hyderabad: Singareni Thermal Power Plant (STPP) at Jaipur in Mancherial district has achieved 98.57 per cent plant load factor (PLF) and was placed seventh among the 25 top-performing thermal power stations in the country.
Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar complimented the staff and officials on the achievement and asked them to continue to work with the same spirit to meet the energy requirements of the State.
The STPP stood fifth among the country’s 25 top-performing thermal power stations in 2017-18.
According to officials, the plant has generated 851.66 million units of energy in April. Of them, 804.35 million units were supplied to the Telangana grid.
Since the inception of the plant in 2017, the plant has so far generated 39,946 million units of energy. Of them, 37,533 million units were supplied towards requirements of the State, officials said. They said the plant achieved 100 per cent PLF in September 2018 and February 2019 and 2020.
