Peddapalli: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has sought the expertise of its retired senior officials to shape the company’s roadmap for achieving its ambitious target of producing 100 million tonnes of coal annually.

For the first time in its history, SCCL organised a brainstorming session with retired Directors and senior officers to draw on their experience and suggestions for future planning. The one-day session, held on Wednesday at the Illandu Club in Kothagudem, was jointly organised by the CPP and HRD departments, following the directions of Chairman and Managing Director N Balram.

The meeting, presided over by GM (CPP) A Manohar, was attended by Singareni Directors, General Managers from the Corporate Office, and former Directors.

Addressing the participants via video conference, Balram said the company must enhance coal production and diversify into other sectors to stay competitive in the coal industry. He emphasised that the insights of former Directors and General Managers were invaluable in strengthening Singareni’s growth strategy.

Retired Directors shared their views on achieving sustainable 100 MT production, reducing operational costs, and diversifying beyond coal for long-term stability.
