Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan Kumar on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, alleging that Singareni coal mining tenders were manipulated to benefit the Chief Minister’s brother-in-law and close associates.

Addressing a press conference here, Sravan said Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s recent defensive statements had inadvertently confirmed the existence of a massive scam. He demanded that the Deputy Chief Minister explain the specific reasons behind the cancellation of the tenders and questioned why the Congress government was reluctant to order an inquiry if the tender process was transparent.

“Revanth Reddy attempted to hand over Singareni coal mines to his brother-in-law to ensure his personal happiness at the cost of the State’s resources,” Sravan alleged.

Referring to adverse media reports against Bhatti Vikramarka, the BRS MLC claimed that the story, screenplay and media leaks were orchestrated by Revanth Reddy. “Why is Bhatti Vikramarka afraid to name the person who is planting stories against him in the press?” Sravan asked.
