Hyderabad: SIO Telangana on Wednesday demanded the State government allocate a minimum of 20 percent of the budget towards the education sector in the financial year 2025-26.

“This investment will pave the way for an empowered, skilled, and enlightened generation prepared to shape the future of Telangana,” said Faraz Ahmed, president SIO Telangana.

The SIO Telangana on Wednesday unveiled a booklet offering budget recommendations for financial year 2025-26, focusing on education and youth welfare. The booklet critically examines gaps in infrastructure, accessibility, and youth development, while proposing constructive, forward-looking solutions.

SIO Telangana secretary Mohd Hammaduddin said the government must ensure that budgetary allocations reflect the urgent needs of education and youth welfare, bridging gaps in access, quality, and equity to secure a brighter future for all.
