SIR 2026 in Telangana: Hyderabad digitisation at 58.60 percent, 18.74 lakh ASD voters missing
Hyderabad district has completed only 58.58% digitisation of electoral rolls under the Special Intensive Revision 2026, the lowest in Telangana. Over 18.74 lakh electors were found missing as Absent, Shifted or Dead voters. The submission window closes on August 10.

Hyderabad: A day before closing the submission of enumeration forms under Special Intensive Revision of the electoral rolls for the year 2026, the Hyderabad district completed 58.58% of the digitisation, according to the status report released by the Chief Electoral Office, Telangana, on Sunday.
Though the Election Commission of India revised the SIR schedule thrice, Hyderabad district could not reach the expected target, and its rank in digitisation remained the lowest among other districts in SIR in Telangana.
Hyderabad district distributed 47,36,669 enumeration forms to electors and to date, 27,68,347 electors have submitted their enumeration forms. Yadadri Bhongiri district has completed 94.30% of the digitisation and stood top among other districts in Telangana.
In Hyderabad district, more than 18.74 lakh electors were found missing during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls, according to Sunday’s status report on the SIR.
The total number of electors in Hyderabad district was 47,36,669. Of these, 18,74,641 electors were found as Absent, Shifted or Dead (ASD) voters, accounting for 39.58% of the total electors. The enumeration forms relating to these electors were reported as uncollectible.
The window for submission of the SIR enumeration forms will be closed on August 10 at 6 pm.
