The Election Commission has approved rationalisation of polling stations in Telangana, increasing the total from 35,985 to 36,353 across 33 districts. Nalgonda district recorded the highest addition with 49 new stations, followed by Hyderabad with 32, while several constituencies saw location changes, nomenclature updates, and mergers.
Hyderabad district has completed only 58.58% digitisation of electoral rolls under the Special Intensive Revision 2026, the lowest in Telangana. Over 18.74 lakh electors were found missing as Absent, Shifted or Dead voters. The submission window closes on August 10.

Chandrayangutta Assembly constituency has recorded the highest digitisation of enumeration forms in Hyderabad district under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, while Musheerabad ranked last. Overall, Hyderabad has completed 32.75% digitisation, with over 1.77 lakh electors classified as absent, shifted or dead.
Telangana has completed 100 per cent distribution of voter enumeration forms across all 33 districts, Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy said. Digitisation has reached 58.45 per cent, with Yadadri Bhuvanagiri leading and Medchal-Malkajgiri recording the lowest progress.
