More than 18.12 lakh electors in Telangana are at risk of being removed from the electoral rolls for failing to respond to notices issued during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.

More than 71.23 lakh voters have been cleared for inclusion in Telangana's final electoral rolls after the disposal of notices issued during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. BJP has urged the Election Commission to conduct field re-verification of around 1.63 lakh electors linked to high-density households with 15 or more voters registered at the same address.

The Telangana Chief Electoral Office will use special software to verify educational certificates submitted for enrolment in two Graduates’ Constituencies ahead of the 2027 elections. Existing electors must also submit fresh Form-18 applications as rolls are prepared afresh.

Chandrayangutta Assembly constituency has recorded the highest digitisation of enumeration forms in Hyderabad district under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, while Musheerabad ranked last. Overall, Hyderabad has completed 32.75% digitisation, with over 1.77 lakh electors classified as absent, shifted or dead.
