Sircilla residents perform puja to celebrate Collector’s transfer

Residents of Sircilla celebrated Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha’s transfer by offering prayers and breaking coconuts at a local temple. Jha was moved to the Transport Department, while M. Haritha was appointed as the new Rajanna-Sircilla Collector.

Rajanna-Sircilla: A section of residents in Sircilla town celebrated the transfer of Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha by performing pujas at a local temple on Saturday.

They offered prayers and broke coconuts at the Abhayanjaneya Swamy temple to mark the occasion.
Jha, who had been in the news recently over controversies, has been transferred to the Transport Department. Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna issued orders to this effect on Saturday.

Meanwhile, M Haritha has been appointed as the new Collector of the district. She is presently serving as Special Secretary in the Education Department.
