Hyderabad: The Rajendranagar police on Thursday said they had foiled a murder plan by arresting six persons who were allegedly on the way to Sangareddy to carry out a ‘supari’ killing. Police seized sickles, a car and cash from them.
The arrested persons were Mohd Jaber (38) of Chandrayangutta, Mohd Rahmath (24) of Hashamabad, B Devaiah (50), Syed Shoeb (22), Talari Srikanth (22) and B Sandeep (23) of Sangareddy.
N Prakash Reddy, DCP (Shamshabad) said Devaiah had a dispute with one Sugunamma, Yellaiah and others pertaining to a land at Choutakal village in Sangareddy. In January, Devaiah and his son Karunakar were attacked by Suganamma and others in Sangareddy over the land issue, with Karunakar being killed in the attack.
“To avenge the death of his son, Devaiah contacted Jaber and offered Rs.30 lakh for killing Sugunamma. Jaber took an advance of Rs.2.5 lakh, with the rest to be paid after killing Sugunamma,” the DCP said.
On Wednesday, Jaber and Rahmath began from the city to Sangareddy, while Shoeb, Srikanth and Sandeep were to join them there. Based on a tip-off, the Special Operations Team (Shamshabad) along with the Rajendranagar police tracked down Jaber and Rahmath at Hassannagar on the city outskirts and nabbed them. The others were nabbed from Sangareddy.
A case was registered and they were produced before court.
