Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police stepped up its drive against marijuana trade in its limits, as part of which, between December 8 to 12, six persons were caught for drug peddling and over 65 kg of marijuana was seized.
Continuous raids were being conducted on a daily basis. Bulk buyers, local retailers and drug transporters were on the police radar in order to curb marijuana peddling and consumption.
In the last five days, three cases under the NDPS Act and 238 E-petty cases were booked.
Till now, 16 persons were detained under the Preventive Detention Act for drug peddling in the recent crackdown against drugs in Cyberabad.
