Six Maoists killed in encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Abhujmad
Six Maoists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in the Abhujmad region of Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh. Several weapons, explosives, and supplies were recovered. The operation was based on intelligence inputs. Identities of the Maoists are yet to be known.

Kothagudem: Six Maoists were killed in an exchange of fire between security forces and Maoists in the Abhujmad region of Narayanpur district in Chhattisgarh on Friday.
According to police, a huge quantity of weapons including AK-47, SLR rifles, several other weapons, explosive materials, and daily use items were recovered from the spot. Security forces launched a search operation based on intelligence inputs regarding the presence of Maoists in the region bordering Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra state.
Intermittent firing between the security forces and Maoists was ongoing since the afternoon hours of the day. The identity of the killed Maoists was not yet known, police said.
